Mall crawler cashgrab

Heck of a loaner.
Check out the voice activation and report back.

It’s no sports car, but it’s agile enough in Dynamic mode to sell the lifestyle.

Not gonna find out on a car that isn’t mine, but my prediction is: Not as well as an XJL.

If it had Lexus RX badges would you know the difference
?
![]() 12/05/2018 at 15:26 |

Yes, pretty sure the RX comes with keyless entry (this one doesn’t have it......!) and handling well known by the maritime industry.

How many dead bodies can fit in the trunk? Is the emergency trunk release easily breakable so a potentially still alive body can escape?
![]() 12/05/2018 at 15:33 |

My conquest of a rival gang resulted in insufficient bodies to fill the cargo area (total count: 0). Will try my luck on the local zoo’s alligator keep this afternoon. I think he’ll fit nicely.
I don’t think SUVs or CUVs have interior door releases as the cargo area is open to the cabin.

I had a base 2.0TD as a loaner at one point and that thing wouldn’t get out of its own way to save its ass. Is this the diesel or the gasser? I assume a 2.0T as well as I can’t read that engine cover. I think if I had had a better optioned v6 model I’d be quite content with it, but as it was loaned to me, it
was just a generic CUV.
Initial thoughts?

Looks like the turbo four - does it have enough pep to move that rig, or does it need the supercharged 6 ?

It’s not recognising my most commonly used commands yet. I’m sure I’l l figure it out soon.
Me: “Find local drug dealer.”
Car: “Sorry, I didn’t get that. Please say a command. ”
Me: “Call drug dealer.”
Car: “Command not available.”

It’s got enough power but sounds a bit agricultural for the class it’s competing with. I think BMW does a better job of NVH from an inline-4.

Gasser 2.0T and it makes enough power.
It’s missing some important features for its class (keyless entry not standard on a Jag.......that’s got to turn off a few customers) and the interior is not really any nicer than a base Lexus.
The selling points are definitely the driving dynamics (it’s fairly nimble for what it is) and the looks.

I think you have to say it in British.

Did, made use of my early life colonial education.
I don’t do British slang, though, if you had me say something like “That chap got knackered in the bollocks!” it would not sound natural.

IMO it’s about as fun as a Cayenne. Which is not that fun, but better than the equivalent BMWs.
